OhioHealth Acquires 6-Physician Heart Surgery Practice

Columbus-based OhioHealth has acquired Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgical Specialists, a six-physician group in Columbus.

The group of surgeons joined the OhioHealth Physician Group and is now know as OhioHealth Heart, Lung & Vascular Surgeons. The group’s 21 clinical and support staff members are now OhioHealth associates.

As part of the acquisition, the practice moved and expanded its office. It is now on the campus of OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.

According to a Columbus Business First report, CVSS was the last remaining independent heart surgery practice in the Columbus area.
