National physician group adds another founding partner

US Acute Care Solutions, a national physician-owned emergency medicine, hospitalist and observation service organization, is welcoming another founding partner: ERGENTUS Emergency Service Physicians, an organization that staffs emergency medicine physicians in healthcare organizations in Colorado.

USACS was founded by emergency medicine physician groups across Colorado, Florida, Maryland and Ohio, with Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe as a capital partner. The organization is dedicated to helping physicians maintain majority ownership in their practice management.

Pending customary closing conditions, ERGENTUS will join the national group as a founding partner. With this partnership, USACS now counts 18 Colorado locations. The group has roughly 120 locations nationwide.

"Joining USACS as a founding partner is a win for our clinicians, our partners and most importantly, our patients," Homi Kapadia MD, president of ERGENTUS, said in a statement. "Physician-owned and led emergency medicine groups are the key to efficient and compassionate care in today's healthcare environment."
