IPC The Hospitalist Company Acquires Psychological Practice

North Hollywood, Calif.-based IPC The Hospitalist Company, a national hospitalist physician group practice company, has acquired Lynbrook, N.Y.-based RG Psychological Services, which covers more than 80 post-acute care facilities.

The owner of RG Psychological Services, Richard Juman, PsyD, will join IPC in a leadership capacity in the New York region as part of the acquisition.

“As IPC continues its expansion in post-acute facility-based care, we see an opportunity to create a closer coordination of internal medicine and behavioral health services in order to improve both quality and outcomes,” said R. Jeffrey Taylor, president and COO of IPC, in a news release.
