Under the terms of the agreement, student’s in the medical school’s family medicine residency program will have the opportunity to receive education and training through a rural community hospital rotation at GHS.
“Granville Health System is pleased to work in partnership with the Duke University School of Medicine to offer this unique experience to young physicians,” said Cristina Carroll, COO of GHS. “As is the case throughout the United States, the primary care physician need remains strong in Granville County…exposure to rural healthcare will give young physicians an opportunity to experience the reward of working in a small community.”
