Under the collaboration, CVS Health and MinuteClinic, CVS’ retail clinics, will integrate EHR data with providers at the two health systems. Through the integrated EHR, pharmacists can update patient records with interventions or potential medication non-adherence issues and MinuteClinic nurse practitioners will be able to update and access patient medical histories.

Patients will continue to access clinical support, medication counseling, chronic disease monitoring and wellness programs at CVS, according to a statement.

CVS Health and MinuteClinic have established 50 similar clinical affiliations nationwide.
