AmSurg acquires 50-physician radiology group

Nashville, Tenn.-based AmSurg’s physician services division, Sheridan, has acquired Radiology Associates of Hollywood (Fla.), a group of more than 50 radiologists.

RAH radiologists provide services in diagnostic, interventional and oncology specialties at 12 facilities in south Florida.

“Sheridan’s commitment to excellence in the clinical care it delivers to patients, and its cultural focus on physician leadership, make the company an ideal partner to support RAH’s continued development and growth. We are confident that through this alliance, RAH will achieve great success as we continue to deliver superior service and best-in-class care to our patients within the Memorial Healthcare System,” Benjamin Freedman, MD, president of RAH, said in a statement.
