Last week, more than 400 service workers, represented by SEIU Healthcare PA, voted to strike if they were unable to reach a contract agreement. Most of those employees work in the hospital’s dietary and housekeeping departments.
The agreement includes healthcare benefits the union deemed “affordable” and raises of 5.5 percent over the next three years, according the report.
