Trump shares results of physical on Dr. Oz

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump shared the results of a physical examination during an hour-long interview on The Doctor Oz Show taped Wednesday, revealing he is overweight and takes a statin to lower cholesterol.

The show, which airs Thursday, includes a full review of Mr. Trump's systems, including the nervous system, head and neck, hormone levels, cardiovascular health, respiratory health, gastrointestinal health, bladder or prostate health, dermatological health, history of cancer and family medical history, according to a news release from the show.

Based on previews of the interview, Mr. Trump's health report indicates he is generally in good health, but that he is overweight. Mr. Trump is 6 feet and 3 inches tall and weighs 236 pounds, according to Mehmet Oz, MD, the host of the show. A report from The New York Times notes that earlier reports show Mr. Trump at 267 pounds.

"In my mind I'm thinking your body surface area and your BMI is high. It's probably close to 30 which is the barrier for most people," Dr. Oz said in a preview of the interview.

Mr. Trump admitted he could lose a little weight, but said, "It's tough because of the way I live." Mr. Trump has not been shy to share his love of fast food at past events.

However, despite his eating habits and age — he is 70 years old — Mr. Trump still feels confident he has the stamina to be President of the United States. "I feel as good today as I did when I was 30," he told Dr. Oz.
