Stanley W. Ashley, MD. Senior Vice President for Clinical Affairs and CMO of Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston). A board-certified surgeon, Dr. Ashley currently serves as vice president for clinical affairs and CMO of Brigham and Women’s Hospital. His clinical interests include cancer surgery, Crohn’s disease and gastric cancer. He previously received funding from the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for his research, which focuses on the pathophysiology of the small bowel and pancreas. In addition to his executive roles, he also serves as the Frank Sawyer Professor of Surgery at Boston-based Harvard Medical School. Brigham and Women’s Hospital, the No. 2 hospital in Massachusetts in 2018 according to U.S. News & World Report, serves as the primary teaching hospital for Harvard Medical School.
