Eileen and John R. Anderson IV donated the money. The 175,000-square-foot facility will be named the John R. Anderson V Medical Pavilion in honor of their son, who passed away from cancer in 2004.
The center will offer cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, neurology, nephrology and endocrinology. The facility will also have four catheterization labs. Construction is planned to begin in the winter of 2013 and is expected to be completed in 2016.
The new clinic is part of the hospital’s 25-year master plan to rebuild itself, which will include replacing the hospital with three new hospital towers.
