Salem Township Hospital in Illinois Considers Adding Hospitalist Program

Salem (Ill.) Township Hospital may start a hospitalist program, according to a WJBD report.

The program would be designed to enhance patient services and provide back-up for physicians who take time off. The hospitalists would oversee patients in the inpatient unit and assist patients in the emergency department.

The hospital plans to send out bids for the hospitalist program soon so the program could begin between April and June.
