Here are four things to know about the rebranding.

1. PCMC has partnered with North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville and Lake City (Fla.) Medical Center as part of North Florida Regional Healthcare.

2. The three hospitals will provide comprehensive care to residents of North Central Florida.

3. As part of the rebranding, PCMC, which was acquired by Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America last year, will feature a new logo and refreshed interior and exterior signage to reflect its widened scope of services.

4. Officials said the rebranding allows PCMC to offer access to a broader network of expertise and technology — and reduces the need for patients with more acute needs to transfer outside the hospital system.

“We’re proud of our long history serving the residents of Putnam County and surrounding communities, and we’re thrilled to enhance our ability to provide integrated healthcare services in a caring, compassionate environment,” Chris Mosley, CEO of PCMC, said in a prepared statement. “Our patients will benefit from having a sophisticated regional healthcare network close to home.”
