The incentive is part of Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health and Services’ ongoing recruitment strategy for hard-to-fill positions, which has been in place for roughly 10 years. However, the bonus payments have recently increased from $3,000 to $10,000 to make participation more attractive to employees.
In total, the system has received 200 candidate recommendations so far, including those for the nursing positions.
