Ms. Blackmon has been a part of Charlotte, N.C.-based Presbyterian Healthcare since 1992 and has held a wide variety of leadership roles during her time with the health system. She has been the director of clinical improvement and community care services, overseeing clinical improvement, infection control, medical management and disease management. She has also been responsible for the orthopedics and neurosciences services lines at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N.C.
Her years as a leader in healthcare have not gone unnoticed. In 1998, Ms. Blackmon was named one of the top 40 under 40 up-and-coming leaders in the community by the Charlotte Business Journal. In 2008, she received the professional achievement award from The National Association of Negro Business and Profession Women’s Club.
Ms. Blackmon earned a master’s degree in business administration from Queens University in Charlotte, N.C., and a master’s degree in social work from the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
