Pennsylvania’s Digestive Disease Center Joins WellSpan Medical Group

WellSpan Health’s Medical Group has recently purchased the operating assets of York Township-based Digestive Disease Center, according to a health system news release.

According to Thomas McGann, MD, senior vice president of WellSpan and president of the WellSpan Medical Group, the new relationship provides for the growth of specialized gastroenterology services that will meet the needs of a growing and aging population.

Effective April 30, physicians and staff of DDC will become employees of the WellSpan Medical Group, and the practice will be renamed WellSpan Gastroenterology.
