Workers at Regional Hospital of Scranton Ratify Contract

Unionized workers, including nurses, at Regional Hospital of Scranton (Pa.) have ratified a contract with the hospital, owned by Community Health Systems, according to a Times Leader report.

The new contract maintains benefit levels and employee’ input on staffing levels and increases wages, according to the report.

The new contract extends until Feb. 2013.

CHS purchased the hospital, formerly known as Mercy Hospital, in May.
