The 2,700 nurses, represented by the Committee for Recognition of Nursing Achievement, had authorized a strike for Feb. 17, but it was called off after both sides agreed to return to negotiations.
The new contract provides a 4 percent pay raise for all nurses through April 1, 2012. After then, raises will range from 2-4 percent.
