Northern Michigan Regional Ends Merger Talks With Spectrum

Northern Michigan Regional Health System, based in Petoskey, Mich., has ended merger talks with Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Spectrum Health, according to a report by the Business Review West Michigan.

The two groups were unable to agree on a leadership structure and governance model, according to the report.

NMRHS said it would not rule out a future partnership with Spectrum, but would not move forward with plans integrate with the health system at this time.
