Mercy Hospital in Iowa to Shut Down Surgical Unit Next Month

Mercy Hospital in Oelwein, Iowa, will close its surgical unit, effective Sept. 5, according to a Daily Register report.

According to the report, the hospital made the decision to close its operating room due to “consistently low surgical volume.”
