Adventist Healthcare, which operates Shady Grove Adventist in Rockville, Md., and Washington Adventist in Takoma Park, Md., and Trinity Health’s Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, Md., have both filed a certificate of need with the state to build hospitals in the county. The proposed locations would be only a few miles apart, and the commission is not expected to approve both, according to the report.
Adventist has proposed an 86-bed hospital in Clarksburg, Md., while Holy Cross proposed a 93-bed hospital in Germantown, Md.
