Iowa’s Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center Restructures Staff

Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center in Marshalltown, Iowa, has cut six current and seven open management and administration positions to restructure staff, according to a Times-Republican report.

None of the eliminated positions were directly involved in patient care.

Uncertainty regarding healthcare reform, not financial problems, motivated this change in staff, MMSC Public Relations Director Liz Zuercher said.
