Illinois Regulators to Consider CON Applications From Centegra, Mercy in June

The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board will consider certificate of need applications for competing hospitals in the Chicago suburbs on June 28, according to a Chicago Tribune report.

Janesville, Wis.-based Mercy Health System’s filed a CON application to build a 128-bed hospital in Crystal Lake, Ill., while Crystal Lake-based Centegra Health System’s applied to build a 128-bed facility in nearby Huntley, Ill.

The Board is unlikely to grant both requests, according to previous reports.
