Huggins Hospital in New Hampshire to Cut, Freeze Jobs

Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, N.H., is eliminating 23.5 full-time-equivalent jobs, not filling eight open positions and reducing hours for eight other employees, according to a Foster’s Daily Democrat report.

The 23.5 positions will be cut across 13 departments at the 25-bed critical access hospital, according to the report. No patient care services or programs will be eliminated as a result of the workforce changes.

Huggins President and CEO Michael Connelly said the “restructuring was a very difficult decision that the board of trustees and the administration did not take lightly,” according to the report.
