Ms. Barreto was reassigned and placed on review after controversial social media posts became public this spring. These included posts propagating conspiracy theories such as the “Pizzagate” conspiracy, that Hillary Clinton was involved in a child-sex ring through a Washington, D.C., pizza shop, according to the report.
Two other HHS staffers who have posted controversial statements on social media have also recently left the agency. This includes Tim Clark, a White House liaison, and Gavin Smith, a communications staffer, according to the report.
