The report cites preliminary exit polls conducted by Edison Research that found healthcare was the deciding factor for a majority of voters, followed by climate change. Those who said healthcare was their deciding issue most often supported Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., and Pete Buttigieg, former mayor of South Bend, Ind.
Nearly 60 percent of caucusgoers said they supported a single-payer healthcare plan that replaces private insurance. Of those who supported single payer, a majority supported Mr. Sanders.
