According to the report, efforts to keep Marian Community open — including reducing the number of hospital beds from 70 to 35 — have not worked. Maxis Health President and CEO Mary Theresa Vautrinot attributed the hospital’s multimillion-dollar annual losses to lower demand for hospital services.
