Grace Cottage Hospital in Vermont Lays Off 15 Employees

Grace Cottage Hospital in Townshend, Vt., laid off 15 employees yesterday, citing declining reimbursements and the Affordable Care Act, according to a Reformer report.

Employees were affected across eight hospital departments. The layoffs reflect a reduction of roughly 10 percent of Grace Cottage’s workforce.

Grace Cottage is also freezing overtime, travel and any new hiring that is not approved by the hospital’s CEO.
