Drawing on his hospital CEO experience, Burl Stamp has published a book on leadership aimed at improving employee engagement and workplace culture.
Mr. Stamp, founder of consulting practice Stamp&Chase, released “Becoming a Better Boss: Be the Leader People Want to Follow, Not Just Tolerate,” according to a May 12 news release. The book was published May 12 by Ripples Media.
The book offers research and leadership practices to help managers build trust, communicate clearly, navigate conflict and guide teams through change.
“We know that people don’t leave companies — they leave bosses,” Mr. Stamp said in the release. “But too many leaders are promoted without the support, clarity, or development they need to succeed. This book is meant to close that gap.”
Mr. Stamp served as president and CEO of Phoenix Children’s from 1998 to 2003 and as vice president of clinical services development at St. Louis Children’s Hospital from 1989 to 1998, according to his LinkedIn profile.
