Florida hospital names nurse COO

UF Health Jacksonville (Fla.) has promoted its chief nursing officer to serve as vice president and COO. 

Kerin Da Cruz, MSN, RN, joined UF Health Jacksonville in February 2024 as CNO. At the end of May, Ms. Da Cruz will start her new role as vice president and COO, the academic medical center said in a May 19 post on LinkedIn. During her time as CNO, Ms. Da Cruz led a team of more than 2,600 nurses and expanded the nursing leadership team. 

She has spent more than 30 years in healthcare leadership positions. 

UF Health Jacksonville is a 695-bed teaching hospital. It is part of Gainesville, Fla.-based UF Health.
