In an emailed response to the News-Journal, a hospital spokesperson said, “As difficult as it is to face a reduction in staffing, it is a necessary step and reflects Florida Hospital’s continued commitment to good financial stewardship.”
It was not disclosed which positions would be affected. Florida Hospital Fish Memorial employs roughly 1,000 people.
