Democrats were able to force a vote under the Congressional Review Act, but it did not garner enough support from Republicans to pass. The vote was 43-52, with Sen. Susan Collins of Maine being the only Republican to vote yea, according to the report.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., dismissed the vote as a political play because it had little chance of passing, according to The Hill.
