Ms. Lynch has helmed CVS Health since February 2021 and leads more than 300,000 employees, according to a Feb. 28 news release from the White House. She is one of Fortune’s “50 Most Powerful Women in Business” and was recently declared one of healthcare’s most overpaid CEOs.
As a member of the Export Council, Ms. Lynch and 24 other appointees will advise the president on international trade.
Other notable appointees with healthcare-related interests include:
- Rosalind Brewer, CEO of Walgreens Boots Alliance
- Farnam Jahanian, PhD, president of Carnegie Mellon University and a member of the board of directors for Highmark Health, both based in Pittsburgh
- Mike Roman, chair and CEO of 3M, which helped lead the COVID-19 response by distributing 4 billion respirators internationally
