The facility would be open 24/7 and would offer CT and X-ray imaging, an emergency department, a wellness program and a community meeting space.
The center would replace and expand the existing Gretna (Va.) Medical Center.
Centra plans to apply for a certificate of need for a new CT scanner by Monday, according to the report. If approved, Centra could begin construction next spring and open the facility in the late fall of 2014.
