The consulting will take one year, and officials from Kaleida and Cleveland Clinic declined to disclose the cost of the consulting agreement, but did say it cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.
As Kaleida finishes its $291 million center for vascular care and medical research, it is looking to adopt Cleveland Clinic’s best practices on policies, procedures, personnel, outcomes and facilities.
Cleveland Clinic’s cardiac program attracts patients from the Buffalo area, and consistently achieves outstanding results while maintaining cost-efficiency. In 2008, the Clinic also opened a heart and vascular institute.
