The system expects to lose $30 million due to reduced Medicaid reimbursements. The layoffs are part of a response plan to cut the budget in CGHS’ 2014 fiscal year, which begins in October, according to the report.
The workforce cuts are expected to save the system $9 million. CGHS is also working with vendors to cut costs on supplies, which is expected to save about $23 million, according to the report.
