Carolinas Hospital System in Florence, S.C., has laid off 25 employees, according to a WPDE report.

Hospital officials said most of the affected positions were nonclinical and the layoffs were necessary in light of lower patient volumes. The news report did not include details on which specific departments were affected by the management decision.
