Hospital spokesperson Dale Witte confirmed to Becker’s cuts primarily affect nurse practitioners, but also include some physician assistants. He added hospital officials are working with affected employees and will help in identifying other job opportunities within CAMC.
The 40 job cuts come amid the system’s plan to eliminate 300 jobs by the end of 2017. The system has attributed the decision to financial concerns.
