The WSHA is attempting to overturn legislation that gives the state general fund money from an account which is completely funded by a state hospital tax and designed to finance hospital services to the poor and vulnerable. This diversion of funds from the Hospital Safety Net Account will reduce state and federal funding for hospitals by $260 million.
