Question: What initiative are you most excited about today at your healthcare organization? How will it affect the future of healthcare delivery?

Samson Jesudass: The focus on data integration and a longitudinal health record Actionable information which translates to knowledge at POC-which translates to better outcomes, less testing, less cost and better service and satisfaction.

Q: When it comes to innovation, what are some common pitfalls you see healthcare organizations making?

SJ: Spending more money for CIO/dept versus recognizing the areas of innovation that already exist and make that well known. We fail to recognize the innovation in the process and flow that our caregivers do each day -and look for solutions from vendors or external experts.

Q: What is the most important lesson you’ve learned about delivering excellent patient experience?

SJ: The care of the patient begins in caring for the patient.

 Q: What future health IT capability will have the most significant impact on clinical workflows or patient outcomes?

SJ: AI applications to use multifactorial analysis to prevent bad outcomes.
