Alta Bates Summit Medical Center to Trim 358 Jobs

Berkeley, Calf.-based Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, a Sutter Health affiliate, will eliminate 358 jobs by Jan. 10, according to a San Francisco Business Times report.

The cuts will affect 358 full- and part-time jobs, or the equivalent of 175 full-time positions, according to the report.

Alta Bates Summit is closing its skilled nursing facility in Oakland due to lower patient volumes, and is also closing its inpatient infusion center, which led to the layoffs.
