American Hospital Association Elects 8 New Trustees

The American Hospital Association has elected eight new members to its Board of Trustees for terms beginning January 1, 2012, according to an AHA release.

The Board of Trustees is the policy-making body of the AHA and has ultimate authority for the governance and management of its direction and finances. New members include:

• Christopher M. Dadlez, president and CEO of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn.
• Christopher Durovich, president and CEO of Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
• Dan Gross, executive vice president for Sharp HealthCare in San Diego.
• Donna Katen-Bahensky, president and CEO of the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wis.
• R. Timothy Stack, president and CEO of Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta.
• Mary Starmann-Harrison, president and CEO of Hospital Sisters Health System in Springfield, Ill.
• Maureen Swick, senior vice president/chief nurse executive at Inova Health System in Falls Church, Va.
• Barbara L. Wilson, immediate past chair of St. Luke’s Treasure Valley Board of Directors in Boise, Idaho.
