The AHA recognized CRH for guiding the hospital and community through an innovative population health improvement strategy. After identifying heart disease as the second highest cause of death in the county where the hospital operates, CRH partnered with Billings (Mont.) Clinic to successfully build a cardiology center that addresses the county’s negative health outcomes for cardiac health.

AHA also named two other finalists for the Rural Hospital Leadership Award: Hill Country Memorial in Fredericksburg, Texas, and Coffey Health System in Burlington, Kan.
