The hospital was closed after it was evacuated Oct. 31, two days after Hurricane Sandy hit. Bellevue’s basement flooded with “millions of gallons of water” and its backup power generators failed, according to the post.
“It has been a labor of almost unimaginable scope, but Bellevue is back,” Alan D. Aviles, president of the city’s Health and Hospitals Corporation, said in the post.
