Interim CEO of Ohio Valley Medical Center Announces 34 Jobs Cuts

Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, W. Va., has announced the elimination of 34 middle management jobs from the hospital and its sister facility, East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, Ohio, according to a Wheeling News Register report.

The cuts were made on Thursday after Gary Amberson, interim president and CEO, took over on Wednesday, replacing former interim president and CEO Jan Jennings.

The cuts were made following a six-month staffing analysis at both hospitals, according to the report.
