The HRC’s 2016 Corporate Equality Index is a national benchmarking tool on corporate policies and practices pertinent to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees. In the 2016 report, 407 major businesses across nearly all industries in the U.S., earned a top score of 100 percent and the distinction of “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality.”
This year, 11 healthcare organizations made the list:

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina— Chapel Hill, N.C.
Boston Scientific — Marlborough, Mass.
Cardinal Health — Dublin, Ohio
CareFusion — San Diego
Cigna — Bloomfield, Conn.
CVS Health — Woonsocket, R.I.
Henry Schein — Melville, N.Y.
Humana — Louisville, Ky.
Kaiser Permanente — Oakland, Calif.
McKesson — San Francisco
