Seattle City Council Approves $1B Expansion of Children’s Hospital

The Seattle City Council has approved a $1 billion, 1.22 million-square-foot expansion of Seattle Children’s Hospital, which would add 350 beds over 20 years, according to a report by the Puget Sound Business Journal.

The hospital scaled back its original plans by 20 percent, and construction is expected to begin in early 2011, according to the report.
