Mr. Holman will begin work on Jan. 3. He was previously vice president of planning and system services at Advocate Bromenn Medical Center in Normal, Ill.
Mr. Holman will replace Aurora Lambert, who retired in September after 12 years as president.
Jewish Hospital was purchased by Mercy Health Partners, a Catholic system, in March 2010.
