CEO of Florida's Jackson Health System Won't Seek Contract Renewal Due to "Hostile Conditions"

Eneida Roldan, MD, president and CEO of Miami-based Jackson Health System, will not renew her contract on June 1, according to a South Florida Business Journal report.

Dr. Roldan joined JHS, Florida's largest hospital system, in 2009. In a letter to Public Health Trust officials, the independent governing body of JHS, Dr. Roldan said she had endured "hostile conditions" and must "draw the line at having [her] personal integrity and moral fiber called into question," according to excerpts cited in the report.

The Public Health Trust will select Dr. Roldan's replacement.
