New Health Policy Institute to Study Radiology's Impact on Quality, Cost

The American College of Radiology announced the establishment of the Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute to study the role of radiology in new healthcare delivery and payment models.

The institute will focus on radiology services' impact on the overall quality and cost of healthcare. The institute will conduct research on medical imaging use, quality and safety metrics and human resources, according to the release.

The ACR aims for policymakers to use the institute's findings to guide new medical imaging policies.
