Mary Armijo has stepped in as CEO of Evanston (Wyo.) Regional Hospital, she wrote in an April 10 LinkedIn post from the hospital.

Ms. Armijo was appointed CEO, effective Feb. 2, according to a Jan. 9 hospital news release. She brings more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience with a focus on quality, patient-centered care and operational excellence.

She most recently served as COO of Lovelace Medical Center and Heart Hospital of New Mexico in Albuquerque, and before that was COO of Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, N.M.

Ms. Armijo succeeded Bob Moore, who served as interim CEO during the leadership transition, the release said.

Evanston Regional Hospital is an affiliate of Salt Lake City-based University of Utah Health, which provides telestroke services for its emergency department and telecritical care support for its ICU.
